SDSU Climbs the Forbes America's Best Value Colleges Ranking
SDSU has been ranked No. 30 among America's Best Value Colleges by Forbes, a significant increase from last year.

ĢƵ was again named one of the nation’s best values as a university by Forbes magazine.
SDSU is in the , up from No. 45 in 2018.
The ranking is No. 11 in California and the highest in the California State University system.
This rise in the ranking can be attributed to SDSU’s high four-year graduation rate, low average student debt at graduation, abundant financial aid, low tuition cost and overall value. Forbes notes SDSU has an average in-state tuition of $5,742 and a student population of more than 34,680. to SDSU for fall 2019. SDSU’s growing student population can be attributed to the diversity and inclusion efforts and initiatives.
The Forbes Best Value College ranking compiles a list of top 300 colleges and universities based on alumni earnings, net price, net student debt, school quality, timely graduation and the number of Pell Grant recipients.
Other National Rankings
SDSU continues to be nationally recognized for providing a quality education and an affordable and appropriate value.
Earlier this year, “The Best Value Colleges: 200 Schools with Exceptional ROI for Your Tuition Investment.” This ranking highlighted SDSU’s rising graduation and continuation rates as well as the financial aid offerings, impressive study abroad opportunities, diverse student body and military friendly set up. Last month, a number of in their standing in the “2020 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate School Ranking.” SDSU’s graduate program in public health ranked No. 23 of more than 170 schools, an increase of 16 spots from last year’s ranking of No. 39. SDSU’s College of Education ranked No. 53 in the nation among all universities. This is an increase from last year’s ranking of No. 54 and No. 57 just two years ago.
U.S. News & World Report also ranked in the nation.
